Our process follows four clear phases: Discovery, Concept, Development, and Construction Administration. We begin with thorough research and client interviews, move through iterative design exploration, produce detailed construction documents, and remain involved through the build to ensure design intent is preserved. Most projects include regular check-ins and presentation milestones so you are always informed and in control.
Timelines vary by scope and complexity. A residential renovation typically takes 4 to 8 months from design through construction. A custom home may take 12 to 18 months. Commercial projects range from 8 to 24 months depending on scale. We provide a detailed timeline estimate during our initial consultation so you can plan accordingly.
Yes. While the majority of our work is in the Portland metropolitan area, we regularly take on projects throughout Oregon and Washington. We have completed projects as far as Bend, the Oregon Coast, and the San Juan Islands. For projects beyond our immediate region, we adjust our site visit schedule and collaborate with local consultants as needed.
Come with whatever you have. Inspiration images, site information, budget expectations, and a sense of timeline are all helpful, but none are required. The most important thing is your vision and the problems you want to solve. We will guide the conversation from there and help you define the scope and direction of your project.
