Everything you need to know before you throw.
Yes. Safety is our top priority. Every session begins with a mandatory safety briefing from a certified coach. Our facility is built to IATF (International Axe Throwing Federation) standards, and lanes are supervised at all times. Only one person throws per lane at a time, and all axes are inspected before every session.
You must be at least 12 years old to throw axes at Hatchet Hall. Throwers aged 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who signs a waiver on their behalf. All minors must have a coach present at their lane at all times.
Closed-toe shoes are required -- no sandals, flip-flops, or open-toed footwear allowed on the throwing lanes. Beyond that, wear whatever you're comfortable in. We recommend avoiding loose sleeves or dangling jewelry that could interfere with your throw. Think casual and athletic.
We don't allow outside food or beverages in the venue. We serve a full menu of bar snacks, flatbreads, and shareable platters, plus a curated beer, cocktail, and non-alcoholic drink list. For private events with 20+ people, we can work with you on custom catering options.
We sure do. Hatchet Hall has a full bar with 20 rotating craft beer taps, handcrafted cocktails, wine, cider, and non-alcoholic options. We do have a two-drink maximum for active throwers to ensure safety. Once you're done throwing, drink all you want at the lounge and bar.
No. For safety and consistency, all axes used at Hatchet Hall are provided by us. Our axes are professionally maintained, balanced, and sharpened before every session. We offer standard and premium axe options -- the premium upgrade is available as an add-on for $10.
