Concrete Flatwork

Flatwork is the foundation of what we do, literally and figuratively. We pour driveways, patios, pool decks, walkways, sidewalks, and garage floors throughout the Denver metro. Every pour is reinforced with rebar or wire mesh, properly formed and graded, and finished to spec.

For homeowners who want more than plain gray concrete, we offer decorative options that look sharp and hold up to Colorado winters without chipping, spalling, or fading prematurely.

  • Driveways -- standard, exposed aggregate, or stamped
  • Patios and outdoor entertainment slabs
  • Walkways and front entry approaches
  • Pool decks with slip-resistant broom or brushed texture
  • Garage floors with optional epoxy-compatible finish
  • Sidewalk replacement (including permit coordination)
  • Broom, troweled, stamped, and exposed aggregate finishes
  • Control joint placement to manage seasonal cracking
Free estimates on all flatwork projects. Pricing based on square footage, grade work required, and finish selection.

Finish Options

Standard Broom Finish Most economical
Exposed Aggregate Durable, low maintenance
Stamped Concrete Decorative, pattern/color options
Salt Finish Textured, slip-resistant
Structural Work

Foundation Work

Foundation problems don't go away on their own. Whether you're building new or dealing with an existing foundation that's settling, cracking, or showing water infiltration, Bedrock has the structural concrete experience to handle it properly.

We work with residential builders, homeowners, and property managers on everything from new foundation pours for additions and ADUs to full foundation repairs that restore structural integrity. Frank has spent 22 years working with Colorado's expansive soils, which means understanding how to prep, form, and pour for long-term performance.

  • New foundation pours for additions, garages, and ADUs
  • Crawl space wall replacement and repair
  • Footing installation for decks, pergolas, and outbuildings
  • Pier and grade beam work
  • Foundation waterproofing and drainage improvements
  • Crack repair with epoxy injection or carbon fiber straps
  • Stem wall repair and rebuild
  • Concrete block foundation reinforcement
Foundation estimates require an on-site assessment. We pull required permits and coordinate inspections on all structural work.

Signs Your Foundation Needs Attention

  • -- Stair-step cracks in block or brick walls
  • -- Horizontal cracks in poured concrete walls
  • -- Water seeping through walls or floor
  • -- Walls bowing inward or showing displacement
  • -- Doors or windows sticking due to frame shifting
Up to 12 Feet Tall

Retaining Walls

Retaining walls are one of the most misunderstood and underbid projects in the concrete industry. A wall that fails is a wall built without proper drainage, adequate batter, or correct footing depth. We build walls that are engineered to hold, not just look good for the first few years.

We work with block, poured concrete, and segmental retaining wall systems depending on height, load requirements, and site conditions. Walls over 4 feet typically require a permit in Jefferson, Arapahoe, and Douglas counties. We handle that process and coordinate inspections.

  • Segmental retaining wall block (multiple manufacturers)
  • Poured concrete walls for high-load applications
  • Decorative block and natural stone veneer options
  • Walls up to 12 feet in height
  • Engineered drainage systems behind all walls
  • Tiered wall designs for sloped lots
  • Permit application and inspection coordination
  • Integration with landscape drainage and grading
Wall pricing is based on height, length, drainage requirements, and site access. Free estimates with site visit.

Wall System Options

Segmental Block

Best for residential and tiered applications. Variety of colors and textures available.

Poured Concrete

Maximum strength for steep grades and load-bearing walls. Can be formed and poured in tight access situations.

Boulder / Natural Stone

Natural look for landscape integration. Dry-stack or mortared options depending on height.

Block, Brick & Stone

Masonry Work

Concrete block walls, brick installation, stone veneer application, chimney repair, and chimney rebuild. Masonry is slow, precise work that rewards patience and penalizes shortcuts. Our masonry team has built enough walls and chimneys to know the difference between acceptable and excellent.

Decorative masonry is a significant investment in your property's appearance and value. Structural masonry is a safety matter. We take both seriously and don't treat one as less important than the other.

  • Concrete block wall construction (standard and decorative)
  • Brick garden walls, pillars, and accent features
  • Stone veneer installation on interior and exterior surfaces
  • Chimney repair -- tuckpointing, crown repair, cap replacement
  • Full chimney demolition and rebuild
  • Exterior brick and block repair and repointing
  • Mortar joint restoration on aging masonry
  • Outdoor kitchen and fireplace surrounds
Free estimates on all masonry projects. Chimney inspections included with any chimney repair estimate.

Chimney Work Process

  1. 1 Visual inspection from ground and roof level
  2. 2 Written scope of repair with materials and timeline
  3. 3 Tuckpointing, crown repair, or full rebuild as needed
  4. 4 Waterproofing sealant applied on completion
Commercial & Industrial

Commercial Concrete

Commercial concrete is a different discipline from residential work. Tolerances are tighter, timelines are stricter, and the consequences of a bad pour are measured in operational disruption, not inconvenience. We understand this and we plan accordingly.

We work with property managers, general contractors, and business owners on parking lots, warehouse floors, loading docks, ADA ramp installations, and curb-and-gutter projects. Our laser screed equipment and experienced crew allow us to deliver large-format flatwork efficiently and accurately.

  • Parking lots and parking structures (flatwork component)
  • Warehouse and industrial floor slabs with vapor barrier
  • Loading dock aprons and dock leveler pads
  • ADA-compliant ramps, curb cuts, and accessible routes
  • Curb and gutter installation and replacement
  • Concrete sidewalks for commercial and mixed-use properties
  • Saw-cut control joints and joint sealing
  • Laser-leveled floors (FF25 tolerance achievable)
Commercial estimates provided with detailed scope and schedule. We can work nights and weekends to avoid business disruption.

Why Subcontractors Use Bedrock

  • Show up when scheduled, every time
  • Consistent crew, not day-labor supplemented
  • Insurance certs provided on request
  • Invoicing and lien waivers handled correctly
  • Clear communication with GC and owner
Extend the Life of Existing Concrete

Concrete Repair

Not every concrete problem requires a full replacement. Crack injection, slab lifting, surface resurfacing, and joint resealing can add years to concrete that still has structural integrity. We'll assess your existing concrete honestly and tell you whether repair or replacement makes more sense. We don't push replacement to run up a ticket.

Colorado's freeze-thaw cycles cause more surface deterioration and slab movement than most climates. Many of the repair calls we get are preventable with proper initial installation and periodic maintenance. We'll explain what caused the problem so it doesn't happen again.

  • Epoxy and polyurethane crack injection
  • Mudjacking and polyfoam slab lifting
  • Concrete surface resurfacing and overlay
  • Control joint cleaning and new sealant application
  • Spall repair on driveways and parking lots
  • Concrete waterproofing sealant (penetrating and film-forming)
  • Stepped slab leveling and trip hazard elimination
  • Drainage correction for surface water issues
Repair estimates are free. We'll tell you honestly whether repair or replacement is the right call for your situation.

Repair vs. Replace Decision Guide

Repair Makes Sense When...
  • --Cracks are narrow (under 1/4 inch) and stable
  • --Slabs are level but sunken from soil voids
  • --Surface is spalling but structure is sound
Replace Makes Sense When...
  • --Concrete is heaved more than 2 inches
  • --Multiple cracks across entire slab
  • --Concrete is over 40 years old and crumbling
