Training Programs

Six structured programs designed to take your dog from where they are to where you both want to be. Group classes cap at 6 dogs.

Not sure which program fits? Book a free 15-minute phone consultation and we'll figure it out together. Every new client starts with an honest conversation about your dog's history, your goals, and what's realistic. Call (555) 847-3291 or fill out the contact form.

Find Your Path

Programs are organized from foundational to advanced. Most dogs start at the beginning and move through in sequence, but we'll assess where your dog actually is and place them appropriately.

Puppy Foundation

8 Weeks Max 6 Dogs Ages 8-20 Weeks

The socialization window closes between 12 and 16 weeks. What happens during that period shapes your dog's temperament for life. This program is built around that reality. We move fast with purpose, covering the behavioral foundations that create a confident, adaptable adult dog. Puppies who graduate this class are far better positioned for every other program they'll ever take.

What's Included

  • Supervised socialization with people and dogs
  • Bite inhibition and mouthing protocols
  • Sit, down, and early stay
  • Name recognition and recall foundations
  • Crate and confinement training
  • Handling and husbandry acceptance
  • Loose-leash walking basics
  • Handler coaching and home practice plans
$450 Group (6 sessions)
$800 Private (4 sessions)
Requirement: Puppy must have received at least one round of puppy vaccinations (DHPP) prior to the first class. Health records required.

Basic Obedience

6 Weeks Max 6 Dogs 5 Months & Up

This is the core program. The six behaviors we cover here sit, down, stay, come when called, loose-leash walking, and door manners are what you need every single day. We teach them properly, which means with duration, distance, and in the presence of distractions. By week six, these behaviors should function reliably in your daily environment, not just inside a training building.

What's Included

  • Sit, down, stand with duration
  • Stay with distance and distraction
  • Reliable recall in controlled environments
  • Loose-leash walking on flat collar
  • Polite greetings with people
  • Door and threshold manners
  • Leave it and drop it cues
  • Weekly written homework plans
$380 Group (6 sessions)
$700 Private (4 sessions)

Behavior Problem Solving

4 Weeks Private Only All Ages

For dogs with reactivity, aggression toward dogs or people, resource guarding, separation anxiety, fear responses, or other significant behavioral concerns. This is not a group class. It's an individualized program that starts with a thorough behavior assessment, then builds a systematic protocol specifically for your dog's situation. Serious problems need serious attention.

What's Included

  • 90-minute initial behavior assessment
  • Written behavior modification protocol
  • Three 60-minute follow-up sessions
  • Management and prevention strategies
  • Counter-conditioning and desensitization
  • Handler skills coaching
  • Email support between sessions
  • Vet referral coordination when needed
From $650 4-Session Package
$180 Additional Sessions
Note: An initial phone consultation is required before booking. Dogs with a bite history may require veterinary behaviorist co-management.

Off-Leash Reliability

8 Weeks Max 4 Dogs Advanced Grads

Off-leash work isn't a trick. It's a skill set built on hundreds of repetitions of solid recall and impulse control in progressively challenging environments. This program is for dogs who have a solid Advanced Obedience foundation and handlers who are committed to the time it takes to do this right. We work on long lines, in parks, near distractions, and gradually toward reliable freedom.

What's Included

  • Long-line recall proofing (30-50ft)
  • Recall reliability under high distraction
  • Impulse control around wildlife and joggers
  • Off-leash heel work in open environments
  • Emergency down and stop cues
  • Multiple off-site training sessions
  • Ongoing handler skill development
  • Individual graduation assessment
$900 Group (8 sessions)
$1,400 Private (6 sessions)
Prerequisite: Completion of Good Form Advanced Obedience and Jake's approval after assessment. This program is not suitable for all dogs.

A Note on Pricing

Group classes are priced per team (one dog, one primary handler). A second handler from the same household can observe at no charge. Private sessions include up to two handlers per session. All prices include handouts, training plans, and email support between sessions. We do not charge extra for follow-up questions.

How It Works

Simple process. No surprises.

Step 1: Free Consult

15-minute call with Jake to discuss your dog, your situation, and your goals. We'll identify the right program and answer your questions. No commitment required and no upselling.

Step 2: Enroll

Reserve your spot with a deposit. You'll receive a confirmation with class dates, what to bring, and intake forms. New client paperwork takes about 10 minutes and covers your dog's health and behavioral history.

Step 3: Train

Show up ready to work. Bring your dog, high-value treats, and your questions. Training sessions are active, not lecture-heavy. You and your dog will be working from the first session.

Not Sure Where to Start?

That's what the free consultation is for. Call or fill out the form and we'll talk it through.
