Common questions.

The things people ask most before they order.

Standard rentals include 7 days from the delivery date. If you need more time, we charge $15 per additional day. Just give us a call before your pickup date and we'll extend it. For long-term projects (4+ weeks), ask about our monthly rates — they're significantly lower per day.
Most customers place it in their driveway, which is ideal — no permit needed and it's on private property. If you don't have a driveway or need it in the street, we can arrange that with the appropriate city permit. Alley placement is also possible. Just tell us the situation when you order and we'll figure it out with you.
If the dumpster goes on your private property (driveway, parking lot, yard), no permit is needed. If it has to go on a public street, alley, or parkway, you'll need a City of Chicago right-of-way permit. Costs vary by ward but typically run $75–$175. We can pull the permit for you — just let us know when ordering. We know all the ward offices.
Prohibited items include: hazardous waste (paint, solvents, oils), asbestos materials, tires, electronics (TVs, computers), appliances containing Freon (refrigerators, AC units, dehumidifiers), propane tanks, batteries, and any liquids. Concrete and dirt require a specialty bin — call us for a separate quote. When in doubt, call before you throw.
Each dumpster size comes with a weight allowance. If the load exceeds that limit when weighed at the transfer station, we charge $65 per additional ton. We'll call you before pickup if we think it might be close based on what you've told us you're disposing. Heavy materials like dirt, concrete, and tile fill up weight limits much faster than lighter debris.
Yes, in most cases. Order by 10am and we can typically deliver the same day to most Chicago and inner-suburb addresses. Outer suburbs may require next-day. Call us directly for same-day orders — don't rely on the form if you need it fast. (773) 555-0149.
We use rubber protection boards under every container to distribute weight and protect concrete and asphalt surfaces. The driver will position them carefully before the drop. In 14 years, we've had exactly zero driveway damage complaints — and we plan to keep it that way. If you have a particularly new or delicate surface, mention it and we'll take extra precautions.
No. Debris must sit at or below the fill line on the container walls. Overfilled bins cannot be legally transported on public roads. If a driver arrives and finds an overfilled bin, you'll need to remove the excess before we can haul it. Fill it level, not piled high, and you'll be fine.
Yes. We work with licensed transfer stations that sort and divert recyclable materials from the landfill. Metals, concrete, and clean wood are typically separated for recycling or repurposing. We can't provide individual recycling reports for residential jobs, but our disposal process exceeds Illinois EPA standards.
