From Gym Bag to Juice Bar

Pressed & Pure started in 2019 when founder Ava Chen got tired of telling her personal training clients to eat better without giving them a real option. She'd been making cold-pressed juices for herself and her clients out of her apartment kitchen for months. The feedback was always the same: "Where can I buy these?"

So she found a 400-square-foot space on Greenleaf Avenue, bought a commercial hydraulic press, and opened the doors. The first week she sold out every day by noon.

Today, Pressed & Pure serves over 500 customers a week from our expanded location. We've grown, but the mission hasn't changed: make clean nutrition accessible, affordable, and actually delicious. Every juice is still cold-pressed in-house. Every ingredient is still certified organic. And Ava still tastes every new recipe herself before it hits the menu.

Three principles guide every decision we make.

Real Ingredients Only

No artificial sweeteners, preservatives, or mystery powders. If you can't pronounce it, we don't use it. Every ingredient on our menu is something you'd find in nature. We publish our full ingredient lists because we have nothing to hide.

Sustainability First

From compostable packaging to our zero-waste pulp program (we donate juice pulp to local farms for composting), every part of our operation is designed to minimize environmental impact. We've eliminated all single-use plastics since day one.

Community Wellness

We run free monthly nutrition workshops, partner with local gyms and yoga studios, and offer discounted cleanse programs for first responders and teachers. Good health shouldn't be a luxury. We're working to make it accessible for everyone.

Founder & Chief Juice Maker

Former personal trainer turned juice entrepreneur. Ava built Pressed & Pure from her apartment kitchen and still develops every recipe on the menu. Certified nutritionist with 10+ years of experience in fitness and wellness.

Diego Ramirez

Head of Kitchen

Culinary school graduate who traded restaurant kitchens for cold-press machines. Diego manages daily production, supplier relationships, and quality control. He's the reason everything tastes exactly right every single time.

Priya Patel

Wellness Program Director

Registered dietitian who designs our cleanse programs and nutrition workshops. Priya works one-on-one with cleanse participants and runs our community wellness events. She makes the science simple and the programs actually enjoyable.
