I did not become a dietitian because I had it all figured out. I became one because I spent years trying every diet, counting every calorie, and feeling like my body was a problem to solve. In college, a nutrition class changed everything. I learned that the science of food was fascinating, but the way our culture talks about food was broken.

That experience sent me to graduate school for clinical nutrition, through a rigorous dietetic internship, and eventually into private practice. Along the way, I worked in hospital settings, outpatient clinics, and corporate wellness programs. Each experience reinforced the same truth: people do not need more rules about food. They need someone who listens, someone who understands the science, and someone who respects that nutrition is deeply personal.

Eight years and over 500 clients later, I run Nourish Wellness from a simple belief: when you understand your body and give it what it needs, everything else starts to fall into place. Energy, sleep, mood, performance, confidence. It all connects back to how you nourish yourself.

What I Believe About Food and Bodies

These are the principles that guide every recommendation, every plan, and every conversation.

Food Freedom

No food is off limits. I will never hand you a list of forbidden foods or make you feel guilty about birthday cake. Restriction does not work long-term, and the research is clear on that. I help you build a relationship with food based on trust, not fear.

Evidence-Based

Every recommendation I make is grounded in peer-reviewed research, not wellness trends or influencer culture. Nutrition science evolves, and I stay current so you do not have to wade through conflicting headlines and miracle claims.

Whole Person Approach

Your nutrition does not exist in a vacuum. Sleep, stress, relationships, work, mental health, finances. It all affects how and what you eat. I look at the full picture because a meal plan that ignores your life is a meal plan that ends up in a drawer.

Anti-Diet, Always

I do not prescribe diets. I do not sell supplements. I do not promise you will lose 20 pounds in 30 days. What I do is help you understand your body, fuel it properly, and make peace with the plate in front of you. If you are looking for someone to hand you a 1,200-calorie meal plan, I am not your person. If you are looking for lasting change, let us talk.

Your Space, Your Comfort

Whether in person or on screen, our sessions happen in a space designed for honest conversation.

In-Person Consultations

Our Maplewood office is warm, private, and nothing like a clinical exam room. Think comfy chairs, natural light, and a kitchen space where we sometimes prep meals together during sessions. It is designed to feel like a conversation, not an appointment.

Virtual Sessions

Cannot make it in? No problem. Over half of my clients meet with me virtually, and the sessions are just as effective. All you need is a device with a camera and a quiet spot. I use a secure HIPAA-compliant platform, and many clients prefer the convenience of meeting from home.
