FAQs
Adults should have a comprehensive eye exam every 1-2 years, depending on age and risk factors. Children should be examined annually once they start school. If you have diabetes, a family history of eye disease, or wear contacts, annual exams are recommended.
We accept most major vision plans including VSP, EyeMed, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Humana, and Medicare. If you don't see your plan listed, give us a call and we'll verify your benefits for you.
A comprehensive eye exam typically takes 45-60 minutes. Contact lens fittings add an additional 20-30 minutes. If you need to select new frames, plan for extra time in our optical shop afterwards.
For common single-vision prescriptions, we can often have your glasses ready the same day. More complex prescriptions (progressives, specialty lenses) typically take 5-7 business days. We'll always give you a clear timeline at your appointment.
Please bring your current glasses or contacts, your insurance card, a list of current medications, and any relevant medical records. First-time patients should arrive 15 minutes early to complete intake paperwork.
Absolutely. Dr. Park specializes in pediatric eye care and sees children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. We recommend a child's first eye exam at 6 months, then at age 3, and annually once they start school.
