People First. Always.

We built TalentBridge on a simple idea: staffing should be about relationships, not transactions. Sixteen years later, that idea still drives everything we do.

Founded to Fix What Was Broken

In 2008, our founder Karen Walsh had spent 15 years in the staffing industry and saw the same problems everywhere: candidates treated as interchangeable parts, clients handed off to junior reps after signing, and a revolving door of mediocre placements that wasted everyone's time and money.

She started TalentBridge with a different model. Every candidate gets a real conversation, not just a skills checklist. Every client gets a dedicated account manager who learns the culture, not just the job description. And every placement is backed by the kind of follow-through that turns a hire into a long-term success.

What started as a two-person operation in Columbus, Ohio, has grown into a regional staffing leader serving over 500 companies across 12 states. The company is bigger, but the approach has not changed: treat people like people, not numbers.

Meet the Team Behind TalentBridge

Our leaders bring decades of combined staffing experience and a shared commitment to doing right by every client and candidate.

Karen Walsh
CEO & Founder

20+ years in staffing and workforce solutions. Karen founded TalentBridge after seeing too many staffing firms prioritize speed over quality. She leads with a philosophy that the best placements come from genuinely understanding both sides of the equation.

James Okonkwo
Director of Client Services

James manages our client partnerships and ensures every engagement delivers measurable value. With a background in operations management, he speaks the language of the businesses we serve and holds our team to the highest account management standards.

Maria Santos
Director of Recruiting

Maria leads our recruiting operations across all sectors. She built our screening methodology from the ground up and oversees a team of 30+ recruiters. Her focus: find people who will not just fill a role, but thrive in it.

Relationship-First Staffing

We do staffing differently. Here is what that actually looks like in practice.

Deep Discovery

We start every engagement with in-depth conversations -- not intake forms. We learn your culture, your pain points, and what success actually looks like on the ground. For candidates, we go beyond skills to understand career goals, work style, and what matters most to them in a role.

Thorough Screening

Every candidate goes through a multi-step screening process: skills assessment, behavioral interview, reference verification, background check, and drug screening where required. We verify credentials and certifications. No shortcuts, no exceptions.

Ongoing Support

The placement is not the finish line. We check in regularly with both clients and placed workers during the first 90 days and beyond. If something is not working, we address it fast. Our goal is long-term success, not a quick transaction.

Why We Specialize

Generalist staffing firms cast a wide net and hope for the best. We take a different approach: deep expertise in the industries where our clients need us most.

Industry Knowledge Matters

When your recruiter understands OSHA requirements for a manufacturing floor, or knows the difference between a CNA and an LPN, or can evaluate a developer's tech stack fluency, you get better candidates faster.

Our recruiting teams are organized by industry vertical. Each team builds deep networks within their sector, stays current on industry trends and salary benchmarks, and understands the specific compliance requirements that apply to your business.

  • Industry-specific recruiters with sector expertise
  • Compliance knowledge for regulated industries
  • Salary benchmarking by role and region
  • Deep candidate networks in each sector
  • Understanding of certification and licensing requirements
