Tap water contains dissolved minerals. When it evaporates, those minerals are left on the glass as water spots or a hazy film. Soap adds another layer of residue that actually attracts dust. Pure water is filtered down to 0 parts per million of dissolved solids through reverse osmosis and deionization. When it contacts the glass, it lifts and bonds with dirt particles. When it dries, it takes those particles with it. Nothing is left behind. No streaks, no spots, no soap film. Windows cleaned with pure water also stay cleaner longer because there's no soap residue for dust to adhere to.
For exterior-only services, you don't need to be home. We can access the exterior of most properties without entering. For interior window cleaning, we do need access to the inside of your home. Many clients leave a key or door code, and we handle the job while they're at work. We've been doing this for 11 years and understand the trust that requires. We carry full insurance and can provide references on request.
We work in light rain. Windows can be cleaned in drizzle with no impact on quality because pure water is what we use anyway. Heavy downpours are different. If the weather is severe enough to affect safety or quality, we'll call you the morning of your appointment to reschedule at no charge. We don't cancel lightly. Seattle is a rainy city, and we've figured out how to work here.
It depends on the size of your home and the number of windows. A typical single-story home with 10 to 15 windows takes about 90 minutes for exterior cleaning. Add another 60 minutes for interior. A two-story home with 20 to 30 windows typically runs 2.5 to 3.5 hours for a full interior and exterior service. We'll give you a time estimate when we quote your job so you know what to expect.
